First design team application and lessons learned

I love crafts so much it sometimes takes over my world lol! I make girls hairbows and tutus, home decor and paper crafts. I sell my hairbows but I lost the joy of it. Its no longer fun, its stressful. I havent had as much time to give to my first passion of paper crafts. I saw a design team call for Jillibean Soup (products I adore)...I tried but I see things I could have done better. I didnt make the team :( but I see ways to improve and make it my goal to keep trying and improving.

Here are the things I see in my work that can improve for the next application:

• Create a photo box for better pictures
• Create more projects for my blog 
• use the most current supplies for the team I am applying for

Project Life Style Layouts

I am so behind in my scrapping! I have some layouts to share from last summer (2013) in the pocket style. I like to change it up, mix brands, layouts and styles...I mixed up Simple Stories paper lines, MME, Jillibean Soup and American Crafts accessories..Bright and fun!

From scraps to pretty art

I just love the look of layering different papers and embellishments! I used scraps of MME paper and a clearance pack of die cuts from Micheal's to whip this sweet card together in minutes. I had this pack in my stash for a long time...Love it...so I urge you to use your scraps and stash to make something pretty! Have a great Sunday!

Jan. IAR Challenge

I took a break from cleaning, organizing and working to have some fun! I haven't done a layout in a while so I decided to play with some of my I am Roses! My favorite is the daisy flower, if you haven't seen these flowers in person...believe me the quality in these handcrafted flowers are AmaaaaZing! Here is the layout, its me an my daughter, sad to say 6 years ago (yes I am that behind!) I used K&Co paper in pink of course to match our matching coats! I love butterflies, so this was fun :) I used DCWV burlap stack and cut a circle background. The letters are AC thickers in burlap. The metal butterflies and bobble are recollections (Michaels), Smile embellishment is My Minds Eye and to the best part the daisies are white and the pink cherry blossoms are I am Roses. My craft room!

Eeek! I can actually say that after 11 years scrapbooking I have a craft room! I love it, but it is not unpacked (after 7 months moved in) and its a disaster...So I am blogging my embarrassing disastrous before...so I can motivate to get myself a clean room tour! I bow my head in shame...but more to come!

Thankful Layout with I am Roses--IAR sketch #2

I loved these pics taken on a hayride, my daughter decided to show me some love! I am so thankful for her! I decided to use this Ki memories paper kit I bought at Ross a while back. I used a heart doily and glimmer mist it in lemon and tigerlilly, i used fabric leaves and a sizzix die to cut the pumpkins which I inked in spiced marmalade distress ink. I used the stampin up banner punch for the banner and letters from the kit. I used Martha Stweart butterfly punches and gold vellum paper.  I made a label for journaling with the TH sizzix die. The little flowers on the banner are IamRoses S10 flowers and the daisys in the left corner I used distress ink and glimmer mist flower # D1-15. I loved how this turned out!
